Our new clients, a family based in Perthshire, Scotland, are actively looking for a highly professional and experienced domestic couple, one being a housekeeper with very high standards and great attention to detail, the other an all-rounder person who is sufficiently flexible and capable to manage the required outdoor activities and other tasks allocated.
Certain duties and working hours will vary with season, being longer in summer months and when the Principles are in residence. Some weekend working will be required at the request of the Principles.
Candidates must be willing to perform duties and travel between the country and city residences. Must have good time management and be capable of working unsupervised. A key requirement is that they form a good working relationship with the Principles’ Executive, Assistant, who will be their immediate manager. They also need to be able to form good working relationships with other contractors working in/around the Principles’ properties.
Both candidates require a flexible, can-do approach with a positive attitude.
Both should be physically fit, energetic individuals of pleasant nature, respectful and very discrete with a genuine enthusiasm for the role. Both should be well presented and of smart appearance.
Must have excellent English, be non-smokers, hold full clean driving licenses and be comfortable around large dogs.
The role and housing is not suitable for live in dependents or pets.
The Position Type: Live In, Full Time, Permanent
Salary: (Calculate your Salary) Aproximately 50, 000 GBP Year Gross (Negotiable for the ideal candidates)
Working Day: Monday-Friday (occasional weekend working at the Principles’ request)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Housekeeper Duties:
- Doing the laundry and ironing
- Maintaining all residential areas in an immaculate condition
- Taking care of antiques and delicate items
- Receiving mail parcels
- Performing regular and deep clean housekeeping activities
- Flower arrangements
- Preparing / serving morning coffee / lunch / afternoon tea to Principles and visitors (Dinner / supper as required)
- Occasional informal cooking for the Principles and visitors. Must be confident with simple cooking and baking
- Assistance with larger dinner parties and other events when required
- Answering the door and welcoming guests
- Ordering groceries and household supplies as necessary
- Driving estate car from the country residence to the city to cover housekeeping duties there
- Pet care
- Other duties as required
All-Rounder Duties:
- Performing all general gardening duties at a good level (Weeding, watering, pruning, strimming etc. This work is seasonal and will evolve as the grounds are developed. Be able to work alongside and follow directions from gardening professionals)
- Maintaining small vegetable garden and bed for cut flowers
- Keeping the grounds tidy, sweeping, strimming, dealing with rubbish
- Organising and overseeing regular and additional housekeeping maintenance contractors e.g. boiler engineers, roof inspections, pest control, aga maintenance, chimney sweeps
- Chauffeuring duties as required
- Car washing and valeting
- Keeping log fires stocked and cleaned
- Additional housekeeping duties at the city residences when required
- Pet care
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- At least 3 years as a domestic couple experience in private families
- UK working permit
- Driving licence
- Checkable references
- No pet allergies
