Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a lovely opportunity for a warm, caring, and reliable After-School Nanny to join a friendly family in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. The family has two children, aged 10 and 8, and is looking for a confident nanny to provide caring support around their school routines, afternoon activities, and evening time. The position would suit a patient and active childcare professional who enjoys spending time with school-aged children and is happy to combine childcare with some light cooking and household support.
This is a part-time, live-out position with a split working day, beginning with a morning school drop-off from approximately 8:00am to 9:00am, followed by a break before the afternoon and evening hours. The school is located close to the family home, while nearby parks and local activities provide convenient options for the children after school. A full driving licence and own car are essential, as the successful Nanny will use her own vehicle for school runs and transporting the children to clubs, activities, or the park as required.
Working as an After-School Nanny in this household involves collecting the children from school, providing attentive supervision until their mother returns at approximately 7:30pm, and supporting them with their usual afternoon routines and activities. Depending on the children’s schedule, this may include spending time at home, visiting a nearby park, or taking them to their clubs and activities. The Nanny will also prepare simple, fresh family-style dinners for the children and keep the kitchen and living area tidy as part of the normal daily routine. The family employs a cleaner, so no full housekeeping is required; grocery shopping, when needed, will also be included within the working hours.

Main duties of the After-School Nanny:
- Morning school drop-off from approximately 8:00am to 9:00am
- Afternoon school pick-up according to the children’s daily schedule, generally between 3:30pm and 5:30pm
- Providing warm, attentive and age-appropriate supervision after school
- Taking the children to nearby parks, sports activities and clubs when required
- Using own car safely and confidently for school runs and children’s activities
- Preparing simple, fresh family-style dinners for the children
- Carrying out grocery shopping when required, with the time included within the working hours
- Keeping the kitchen tidy and cleaning up after preparing meals
- Maintaining general tidiness in the living area during the working day
- Providing a caring, patient and positive presence within the family home
- Maintaining a safe, organised and welcoming environment for the children
Requirements for this After-School Nanny:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Own car is essential
- DBS Check
