PERMANENT LIVE-IN ROTA NANNY

Salary: £70,000 Gross per Year + pension
An experienced private household is seeking a highly capable and adaptable nanny for a long-term position combining childcare with regular international travel. The family is looking for a professional who would be particularly well suited to a one-month-on, one-month-off arrangement, although they are also open to discussing a conventional full-time working pattern with the right candidate.
This opportunity would suit a nanny who enjoys working in an international environment and appreciates the benefits of a structured rota, including a significant period of uninterrupted time away from work between rotations.
The successful candidate will provide attentive care for two young daughters and will work closely with the parents and other household staff to ensure the children have a consistent and nurturing routine. The position calls for someone who is confident managing the practical aspects of childcare whilst also bringing warmth, patience and emotional awareness to their work.
The nanny will be responsible for the children's day-to-day needs, including preparing meals, managing their belongings and routines, organising activities and outings, supporting the older child's education and creating engaging experiences for the younger child.
Travel forms a regular component of the position, with the family spending periods overseas and taking international trips during school holidays. The nanny should therefore be comfortable travelling extensively, adapting to different surroundings and maintaining the children's routines whilst away from home.

Employment: Permanent, Full-Time, Live-In Rota
Working Pattern: Ideally 1 month on / 1 month off; alternative full-time arrangements may be considered
Working Hours: Approximately 60 hours per week during working rotations, with flexibility required
Salary: £70,000 gross per year + pension
Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom when based in Birmingham
Start Date: As soon as possible / September 2026

Travel: Regular international travel with the family

Main duties of the Nanny:
- Provide consistent, attentive care for two young children.
- Manage daily routines and ensure the children's needs are met throughout the working rotation.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
- Maintain children's bedrooms, play spaces, wardrobes and personal belongings.
- Arrange age-appropriate activities, outings and playdates.
- Encourage learning, creativity and outdoor play.
- Support the older child's educational development.
- Provide dedicated care and stimulation for the younger child.
- Accompany the family on international travel.
- Adapt confidently to different environments and changing schedules.
- Work cooperatively with the parents and wider household team.
- Maintain high standards of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements for this Nanny job:
- Strong private household childcare background.
- Experience caring for children of different ages, including babies and school-aged children.
- Previous experience travelling internationally with a private family is essential.
- Comfortable with either a rota-based or full-time working structure.
- Highly adaptable and organised, with the ability to manage changing routines.
- Warm, calm and emotionally intelligent.
- Able to work independently whilst integrating well with other household staff.
- Driving licence preferred.
- Non-smoker.
- Excellent checkable references.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
