PERMANENT LIVE-OUT NANNY JOB

SALARY: £22– £25 GROSS PER HOUR (SELF-EMPLOYMENT)
A warm, welcoming, and values-driven family based in Ilford are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and highly capable Nanny to join their household and become a trusted and beloved presence in their daughter's daily life. The family has a two-year-old daughter who is the heart of the home, with plans to welcome a second child in the near future. The position is based in Ilford, a wonderfully well-connected area of East London with excellent transport links into Central London and across the wider city — making the commute easy and straightforward for candidates travelling from across Greater London and the surrounding areas. The role is offered on a live-out, self-employed basis.
The primary focus of the role is devoted, attentive, and developmentally rich childcare for the couple's two-year-old daughter — with the expectation that, as the family grows and the children's needs evolve, the role will naturally expand over time. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist with light household duties centred around the child's actively used areas — including tidying, organising toys and play spaces, managing the child's laundry, and supporting the general daily rhythm of the home. Occasional flexibility for babysitting in the evenings or at weekends is welcomed and will be compensated as additional hours or time off in lieu.

Duties Include:
- Providing warm, attentive, and developmentally enriching sole-charge childcare for a two-year-old girl, maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment throughout
- Engaging the child in age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, games, sensory play, and outdoor activities to support her developmental milestones
- Managing the child's daily routine, including mealtimes, snack preparation, nap times, and bedtime preparation where required
- Accompanying the child to activities, playdates, and the grandparents' home — driving responsibilities are preferred, though candidates without a car but comfortable using public transport will also be considered
- Organising and maintaining the child's actively used spaces, including tidying playrooms, rotating toys, and ensuring the child's environment is always clean, safe, and beautifully organised
- Managing the child's laundry — washing, folding, and organising clothing as required
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child in accordance with the family's values and dietary preferences
- Assisting with light household tasks centred around the child's areas of the home when the child is napping or engaged independently — this is not a full housekeeping role but rather child-focused household support
- Providing occasional babysitting flexibility in the evenings or at weekends as and when required — to be compensated as additional hours or time off in lieu
Minimal Requirements:
- 5 or more years of private Nanny experience
- Two checkable references from previous private employers
- Conversational English
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
- Non-smoker
- Driving licence and own vehicle — preferred and a significant advantage, though not an absolute requirement
- DBS check
