Working as a nanny in this role involves a blend of nurturing care, guidance, and supporting the children’s developmental milestones. The primary responsibilities include caring for a lively one-year-old, overseeing the 10-year-old’s activities and routine, and assisting with meal preparation for the children, particularly nutritious home-cooked meals during weaning and beyond. Working Days: 7 days per week, with flexibility (Rota; Week on/week off)
Working Hours: 12 hours daily
Language: Portuguese (native or fluent), English (strong conversational skills)
Salary: £45,000 gross per annum (contract)
Children: 17 y.o, 10 y.o, 1 y.o.
Location: Oxshott, Surrey, UK

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for the one-year-old, ensuring routine, feeding, and development milestones are met
- Oversee the 10-year-old’s daily activities, prompt him to get ready for school, and ensure timely arrival and departure
- Support the older children’s routines and oversee their activities, including after-school engagements
- Prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals for the children, focusing on healthy, fresh ingredients suitable for weaning and ongoing dietary needs
- Maintain the children’s rooms, clothes, and overall tidiness in line with household standards
- Follow existing routines, supporting developmental activities, and encouraging learning and play
- Be alert to health and safety, providing a listening and safety watch when on site
- Foster a warm, caring, and guiding presence, acting as a mentor and role model for the children
- Household duties related to children, such as organising their belongings and helping with laundry related to their clothes and toys
Minimal Requirements:
- 3+ years of private nanny experience
- 2 excellent checkable references
- Strong conversational English and Portuguese language skills
- Valid UK work permit
- DBS certification
- First aid certification
