We are looking for a personable, energetic warm nanny housekeeper who is a team player, who enjoys animals and the outdoors because the family live on a farm with dogs, sheep and horses. Although there will be no farm related duties however dog walking is necessary, but any extra farm-related interests are welcome.

This nanny housekeeper jobs’ responsibility will be split between caring for the 4 years old child and housekeeping so being able to prioritise correctly and multitask is very important. This will incorporate all aspects of housekeeping with a cleaning tasks list to be done throughout the week. It will include such duties as:

• occasionally basic cleaning
• tidying
• laundry
• ironing
• unpacking shopping,
• keeping child clothes clean and tidy
• cooking for the child and occasionally for the family

The principals also employ a part time cleaner who comes in for 8 hours per week.

The child’s grandmother also lives with the family in a separate annex and they have a fantastic relationship. Alexander will spend 1 – 2 nights per week with his grandmother. She is very involved in taking care of Alexander, doing some nursery drop-offs and pick-ups, cooking dinners and spending some evenings together.

Sometimes, your day will start with doing laundry, ironing, and other task list and occasionally preparing breakfast. Afterwards, taking the dog for a walk. You will then need to pick up Alexander from nursery, drive him to swimming lessons in the afternoon, and then involve him in fun educational activities like reading and crafts, among other things. Depending on the day, these could be games played with friends or at home and outdoors. It will be required to prepare lunch and dinner occasionally for Alexander. Some weeks there may be shorter days, occasionally if one or both parents are travelling on business there will be longer days.

The ideal candidate for a full-time nanny housekeeper position must have experience working with children, the ability to promote age-appropriate learning, and have a strong command of the English language. We are looking for person who is well-organized, responsible with high integrity, energetic, optimistic, emotionally stable, and able to act without being given detailed instructions.

The live out nanny housekeeper should be able to manage a busy household and caring for the child, be a good team player, have sound judgement, be interested in learning, be creative and who enjoys fun, but also must be empathetic with excellent communication skills that are appropriate for the child's age.

The full time nanny housekeeper has to be a confident driver and have their own car to get to work and use (fully insured) for some local journeys with Alexander.
