Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an appealing long-term opportunity within a distinguished and very old country residence set in the Worcestershire countryside. The property is a characterful historic house arranged over several floors, offering an elegant yet lived-in atmosphere, with three generous living areas, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The household is home to four adults, with a baby expected in the near future, and is supported by a live-in gardener who maintains the grounds.
This is a permanent live-out position, although flexibility may be offered to the right candidate, with approximately ten hours per week worked on flexible days. The role would suit a professional and diligent housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining high standards within a traditional private household. The core focus of the position is hands-on housekeeping, including thorough cleaning, professional laundry care and ironing, with particular attention to fine household finishes. Assistance with preparation ahead of entertaining will be appreciated, as the family hosts several large gatherings each year. Experience working in older properties will be considered an advantage, as will confidence caring for delicate surfaces and understanding the nuances of a heritage home.
The household also includes a friendly Collie dog, and light pet care will form part of the daily routine. The family describe themselves as warm and approachable and are seeking someone who is trustworthy, comfortable working independently, and respectful of privacy, as they are often happy to leave the house in the care of the housekeeper. The environment is informal, with no uniform required and no strict etiquette rules, although professionalism and discretion are essential.
The position is offered on a self-employed basis, with an attractive hourly rate in the region of £18 to £25 per hour, depending on experience. A valid DBS certificate is required, and fluent English is essential.

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of Housekeeper experience
- Comfortable and confident around dogs
- Fluent in English
