The household comprises three adult principals, one young child, and two small dogs living in a substantial ten-bedroom country residence with a separate pool house. The family is seeking a flexible, can-do Housekeeper who will take genuine ownership of the home, become a valued part of this lively household, and confidently manage the property with minimal guidance. Due to the rural location of the property and the requirement to run household errands, a driving licence and own car are essential. For candidates considering a live-in position, outstanding accommodation is provided in the form of a spacious two to three-bedroom cottage in the village with all bills included, and the successful candidate's family would also be welcome to live there.
This is a permanent, full-time position available on either a live-out or live-in basis, working five days per week with occasional weekend assistance during family entertaining. The working day is based on an eight-hour schedule with flexible start times, offering an excellent work-life balance alongside full holiday entitlement and formal employment. Working as a Housekeeper within this household involves taking complete responsibility for the presentation, cleanliness, and organisation of the main residence while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the property. The role combines comprehensive housekeeping with household management duties, occasional assistance to the chef during entertaining, preparing lunches together with one of the principals, running errands, caring for valuable household finishes, and liaising confidently with maintenance contractors.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the ten-bedroom residence and pool house
- Completing scheduled deep cleaning of all household areas
- Laundry, ironing, linen care, and basic wardrobe management
- Changing bed linen and towels regularly
- Preparing guest bedrooms and bathrooms for visiting guests
- Organising cupboards, storage areas, and maintaining household organisation
- Caring for delicate household finishes including silver, marble, and wooden surfaces
- Running household errands including collecting dry cleaning and other day-to-day tasks
- Assisting with the preparation of lunches alongside one of the principals
- Providing occasional assistance to the chef during family entertaining
- Walking and caring for the family's two small friendly dogs
- Liaising with maintenance contractors and reporting household issues when required
- Monitoring household presentation and ensuring the property remains beautifully maintained at all times
- Working independently, proactively, and taking full ownership of the household
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
