Our agency has an excellent opportunity for a professional and experienced Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming family based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. The family consists of two principals and their two teenage sons, living in a beautiful five-bedroom farmhouse surrounded by lovely countryside. The property features an outdoor gym, large garden, and a relaxed but well-organised household atmosphere.
Marlborough is a charming and historic market town, known for its elegant high street, boutique shops, and excellent local schools. The area offers the perfect balance between rural serenity and convenience, with easy access to larger towns such as Swindon and Newbury. The role will particularly suit a candidate who enjoys countryside living and is seeking a long-term position with a kind, considerate, and respectful family. As the property is rurally located, a full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
The family are seeking someone calm, organised, and capable of managing household routines independently. The position involves all general housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, hoovering, and laundry management. The family’s two sons are active teenagers involved in sports, so laundry and wardrobe management form a key part of the role. The housekeeper will also be responsible for school runs on Monday to Wednesday mornings, Monday and Tuesday evenings, and every second Friday afternoon. Occasional errands and occasional assistance driving the lady of the house to hospital appointments will also form part of the duties.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and will enjoy working in a household that values loyalty, discretion, and initiative. The family is offering full employment with standard holiday entitlement.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper:
- Daily cleaning, dusting, hoovering, and maintaining tiled and carpeted areas
- Laundry and ironing for the household, including sportswear and bed linen
- Wardrobe organisation and garment care
- School runs: Monday to Wednesday mornings, Monday and Tuesday evenings, and every second Friday
- Occasional assistance driving the lady of the house to hospital appointments
- Occasional errands when required
- Cleaning the outdoor gym approximately every six weeks
- Managing household supplies and maintaining order throughout the property
- Creating a calm, comfortable, and well-organised home environment
Requirements for this Full -Time Housekeeper job:
- 3+ years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
- A driving license and an access to a vehicle
