Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming family residing in a beautiful two-storey, four-bedroom home in the picturesque spa town of Ilkley, West Yorkshire. Surrounded by stunning countryside and renowned for its excellent quality of life, Ilkley offers an attractive setting while remaining well-connected to Leeds and the surrounding areas. The family has two children aged five and nine years and is seeking a reliable, experienced housekeeper with an excellent eye for detail and confidence in caring for delicate materials and garments. This temporary role is expected to last between six and nine months and would suit a professional who enjoys maintaining high standards within a busy family household.
Working as a housekeeper within this private residence offers the opportunity to become an important part of a well-organised household while focusing primarily on housekeeping responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the home to an exceptional standard, undertaking thorough cleaning, washing, ironing, and caring for delicate clothing and fabrics. Whilst occasional light cooking may be appreciated, it is not an essential part of the role. The family currently has one friendly mid-sized dog and plans to welcome two larger dogs in the future. Although regular pet care is not required, occasional assistance may be appreciated when necessary. Likewise, evening babysitting for the children may occasionally be requested and will always be paid separately.

This is a live-out position situated in the desirable town of Ilkley, which offers good transport connections and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas. Candidates living within a reasonable commuting distance will benefit from straightforward daily travel while enjoying the flexibility of returning home each evening.
Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Cleaning and maintaining the four-bedroom family home to an exceptionally high standard.
- Dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all household areas.
- Washing, ironing, folding, and organising the family's laundry.
- Providing specialist care for delicate garments, fine fabrics, and other sensitive materials.
- Making and changing beds and maintaining fresh, welcoming bedrooms.
- Keeping bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas immaculate and well-organised.
- Maintaining an organised household environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Assisting with occasional light meal preparation when requested.
- Providing occasional evening babysitting for the family's two children, with additional payment.
- Offering occasional assistance with the family's dogs if required, although this is not part of the regular duties.
- Working efficiently, independently, and with discretion within a busy private household.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism at all times.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
