Perfect Household Staff is pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional Temporary Part-Time Live-Out Housekeeper to join a warm private household based in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. This role is offered on a 9-month temporary contract and would suit a proactive, self-sufficient candidate who is comfortable working on a sole-charge basis.
The household consists of two principals and their three school-aged children. The family resides in a well-maintained four-bedroom property arranged across two floors, with additional features including a swimming pool and a large garden. The family maintains a relaxed and informal environment and values a housekeeper who can integrate seamlessly into their daily routine while maintaining high standards throughout the home.
One of the principals is currently expecting, therefore the family is particularly mindful of cleaning products used within the household. An eco-conscious approach is essential, with a preference for avoiding harsh chemicals such as bleach. The property also includes delicate features such as a crystal chandelier, which will require careful and attentive maintenance. There is a family cat, and basic pet care duties will be required, including feeding and maintaining cleanliness of the litter area.
This is a sole-charge position, as there are no other household staff employed, and the position is offered on a self-employed basis. The family does not travel or entertain frequently, allowing for a structured and consistent working routine. The working schedule is 15 hours per week, typically across five days (Monday to Friday), however the family can offer flexibility for the hours to be worked across three days if preferred.

Main duties of the Housekeeper:
- Full housekeeping of a four-bedroom private residence across two floors
- General cleaning, dusting, and hoovering to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing
- Bed making, linen changes, and towel replacement
- Careful cleaning and maintenance of delicate surfaces and fixtures, including a crystal chandelier
- Maintaining a hygienic and well-organised home environment
- Basic pet care for a cat (feeding, water, litter box maintenance)
- Ensuring use of appropriate, non-harsh cleaning products in line with family preferences
- Working independently and managing time efficiently in a sole-charge role
Requirements for this Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- Valid UK work permit
