Perfect Household Staff is delighted to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented housekeeper to join a dynamic young couple’s household situated on a private island in Shepperton, Surrey. This part-time, live-out position is ideal for a candidate seeking a role that is both peaceful and distinctive. The property is accessible only via a short, 30-second motorboat ride, which is provided by the family. A valid driving licence is sufficient to operate the boat, although the household’s groundsman is available to assist if preferred.
The principals are a warm and welcoming couple who frequently host visiting children and are preparing to welcome a baby in the near future. As such, a child-friendly and flexible attitude is essential. The island home offers a tranquil and picturesque working environment, while still being easily accessible from West London and neighbouring areas via public transport or by car.
We are seeking a professional housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining the highest domestic standards and possesses a genuine passion for private service. The successful candidate will carry out all housekeeping responsibilities, with particular focus on wardrobe management and the care of delicate fabrics such as silk and other fine materials. This position requires a discreet, proactive individual who works well independently and demonstrates excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming home
- Daily and deep cleaning, dusting, polishing, vacuuming and mopping
- Specialist fabric care – including the laundering and pressing of silk and other delicate materials
- Wardrobe management including seasonal rotation, organisation, and garment care
- Stock management and replenishment of household items
- Light errands as requested
- Maintaining child-friendly, hygienic, and safe environments throughout the home
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Conversational level of English
- A valid driving licence is helpful; however, motorboat use is supported by the groundsman if preferred
