Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a temporary opportunity in Newmarket, Suffolk, United Kingdom. The role is for a duration of three weeks, commencing on 6 October 2025, within a distinguished private residence. The household is a large and elegant family home, featuring five bedrooms, five bathrooms, four spacious living areas, and a private swimming pool. The family consists of two adults and their two much-loved cats, who will also require feeding and gentle care.
The position is available on a live-out basis, however, live-in can also be accommodated as a comfortable private room within the residence may be provided for the right candidate. Working hours are either 9am to 4pm or 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Duties will encompass all aspects of housekeeping including daily cleaning, laundry, washing, ironing, and preparing bedrooms to a high standard, as well as the care of silver.
Breakfast preparation is required each morning, with occasional light cooking for simple snacks during the day. The cooking requirements are modest and basic culinary skills will be entirely sufficient for this role. No errands are required, and the focus remains on ensuring the home is immaculately presented and smoothly run at all times.

Main duties of the Full Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining the household to the highest standard, ensuring all areas are clean, orderly, and well presented
- Preparing bedrooms each morning to a comfortable and welcoming standard
- Managing laundry, washing, and ironing
- Caring for silver and other household items
- Preparing breakfast daily and occasional light snacks
- Feeding and attending to the household’s two cats
- Ensuring the smooth running of the home throughout the day, maintaining a comfortable and organised environment for the family
Requirements for The Full-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private cooking roles
- Strong checkable references
- UK working permit
- DBS check
- Fluency in English
