Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a reliable junior housekeeper / cleaner to join a welcoming private family residing in a spacious four-bedroom home in Sunningwell, Oxfordshire on a self employed basis. The family consists of two adults, two toddlers and a dog who are looking for a discreet and dependable to become a trusted part of their household on long-term basis. Sunningwell is a charming Oxfordshire village known for its picturesque countryside surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful historic character, offering an ideal environment for those who appreciate working in a private family residence away from the busy city centre.
The successful housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the home, ensuring that the property remains clean, organised, and comfortable for the family. The main responsibilities will include cleaning, vacuuming, tidying the kitchen and bathrooms with laundry, and ironing duties. The family does not require childcare or pet care; however, the ideal candidate should be comfortable around children and friendly with the family dog.
Only candidates who have the eligibility to work in the UK will be considered for this role.

Working Days: Ideally two days a week, Monday and Friday, but flexibility may be considered for the right candidate

The housekeeper will play an important role in maintaining the smooth running of the household and ensuring that the family enjoys a consistently clean and well-organised home. The position would suit a professional who values long-term part time commitment, demonstrates excellent attention to detail, and understands the importance of being discreet and reliable when working in a private residence.
Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining the house to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Performing detailed cleaning of all living areas, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and ensuring all surfaces are carefully maintained.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and hygienic.
- Household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing and storing and putting away clothing.
- Ensuring bedrooms are tidy and presentable, including making beds and changing bed linen when required.
- Following the family’s preferred household routines and standards.
- Working discreetly and respectfully and maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrating reliability and consistency as a long-term member of the household team.
- Being comfortable around the family dog and children, although childcare and pet care are not part of the regular duties.
- Managing daily housekeeping tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
- DBS Check
