Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a professional, detail-oriented, and proactive Housekeeper to join a private household located just outside Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The household comprises two adult principals and is maintained in a calm, organised, and minimalist style, creating a highly manageable and structured working environment. The property includes a main five-bedroom residence and a separate two-bedroom guest cottage, both maintained to a high standard and used in a practical, low-intensity manner. This role will suit a physically fit, initiative-driven Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home.
This is a permanent, part-time role structured across two working days per week. The property is situated in a countryside location just outside Harrogate, therefore a driving licence and own car are essential for commuting. The role involves maintaining consistent standards across both properties, with a clear and manageable workload supported by the minimalist interior and absence of children. Duties include hands-on housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and occasional support such as light errands and dog walking, making it ideal for a candidate who is confident working independently.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across both the main residence and the guest cottage, ensuring they remain ready for use at all times. Responsibilities include preparing rooms for occasional guests, carrying out regular and periodic deep cleaning, and caring for specialist surfaces such as marble and wooden flooring. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation across the main five-bedroom house and two-bedroom guest cottage
- Carrying out regular cleaning duties including dusting, hoovering, mopping, and surface care
- Performing occasional deep cleaning to maintain high standards throughout both properties
- Managing laundry and ironing, including care of household linens
- Making and changing beds and preparing rooms for occasional guests
- Ensuring proper care and maintenance of marble surfaces and wooden flooring
- Running occasional errands as required by the principals
- Providing occasional dog walking support for two Labradors
- Ensuring both properties remain organised, well-maintained, and ready for use at all times
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Own car is essential
