Job Overview:
A lovely professional family are seeking a reliable and flexible Part-Time Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home in the beautiful York area of North Yorkshire. This is a warm, welcoming household with two friendly dogs – a miniature Cockapoo and a gentle German Shepherd puppy. The family is currently residing in a rental property comprising three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a downstairs toilet, with plans to move to a larger home in the near future.
A driving licence and own vehicle are required for this position to assist with errands and commuting to the property.
The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse range of responsibilities, from maintaining a clean and organised home to assisting with the family's day-to-day needs. This position requires someone who is proactive, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently within a family environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general housekeeping duties, light meal preparation, and will be happy to occasionally assist with the family's two dogs.

Salary: £20–£23 per hour gross (Negotiable depending on experience); self-employed

Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Duties Include:
- General housekeeping and cleaning throughout the property, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas
- Laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and organising clothing and linens
- Light meal preparation for the family, including assisting with the daughter's meals
- Occasional childcare support for the six-year-old daughter when the Principal is working
- Occasional dog walking for the family's two dogs
- Running errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning collection, and parcel collection
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming home environment
- Organising and restocking household supplies as required
Minimal Requirements:
- Three or more years of private Housekeeper experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational English
- Valid UK work permit
- Enhanced DBS (required due to the presence of a child in the household)
- Driving licence and own vehicle
