Their daughter also visits typically over weekends, and the family regularly welcomes close friends and relatives, particularly during holidays and special occasions.

Set amidst the idyllic Norfolk countryside, Flordon offers a peaceful and scenic backdrop, ideal for candidates who appreciate rural living. While the property benefits from privacy and expansive grounds, its location also allows for convenient access to Norwich and surrounding areas. As the residence is not quite accessible by public transport, a full UK driving licence is essential. This role is particularly well-suited to a fit, energetic, and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and possesses a strong background in private household service. The ideal candidate will be experienced in caring for luxury finishes and delicate materials, including polished wooden flooring, natural stone surfaces, ornate panelling, silverware, antiques, fine fabrics, and high-value artwork. Duties will include full housekeeping of the main residence and associated leisure areas, wardrobe and laundry management, regular bed changes, and ensuring bathrooms are presented to a pristine standard.
The family has friendly dogs requiring occasional feeding and care, and the candidate must be pet-friendly and comfortable around animals. Additional flexibility is required during periods when the principals are travelling, including the possibility of overnight stays to ensure continuity of pet care and property oversight.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Full housekeeping of an 8-bedroom formal residence including cleaning of library area
- Careful weekly cleaning of wooden floors, stone flooring, panelling, and tiles
- Polishing silver and care of antique furnishings, artwork
- Full laundry care including ironing, pressing, and high-end wardrobe management
- Bed changing, bathroom upkeep (including master en-suite and guest areas)
- Restocking household supplies and maintaining high standards throughout
- Occasional dog care including feeding and letting them outside during the family’s absence
- Ensuring the home is consistently guest-ready with discretion and care
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Full driving licence
