Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, detail-oriented, and reliable Housekeeper to join a well-established private household located in the very centre of Manchester. The household comprises two adult principals, with their adult children visiting occasionally, and is run in a calm, organised, and respectful manner. The family currently employ a long-standing cleaner and are now seeking additional dedicated housekeeping support to maintain the property to a consistently high standard.
This position is initially offered as a six-month contract, as the principals are planning to relocate to the south of Manchester; at that time, they will consider continuing the employment with the successful Housekeeper in their new residence, offering potential longer-term stability.
This is a live-out, part-time role based in central Manchester, a vibrant and highly desirable area with excellent amenities and outstanding public transport links, making the property easily accessible for commuting. The schedule is structured across two to three working days per week, with set daytime hours, offering clarity and routine. It is an ideal opportunity for a Housekeeper seeking consistent part-time hours within a straightforward, well-defined role in a pleasant private home environment.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the home. Duties include thorough cleaning of living areas, laundry and ironing, careful wardrobe organisation including seasonal rotation, and general household tidiness. The role also includes walking the family’s small Jackapoo and contributing to the smooth daily running of the home. This is a focused, hands-on housekeeping position suited to a proactive professional who takes pride in delivering excellent standards within a structured and appreciative household. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- General housekeeping to a high private household standard
- Hoovering, dusting, mopping, and maintaining all living areas
- Laundry and ironing with attention to garment care
- Wardrobe management, including seasonal sorting and organisation
- Tidying and organising household spaces
- Changing bed linen and maintaining bedroom presentation
- Walking the family’s small Jackapoo
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Comfortable working on a self-employed basis
- Conversational level of English
