Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a lovely opportunity for a professional, reliable, and proactive Housekeeper to join a welcoming family home in Petersham, Richmond upon Thames. The household comprises two adults and three teenage children, along with three Corgis and a Labrador, so the successful candidate should be comfortable and happy around dogs, although no pet care will be required. The family has recently relocated to Great Britain and is now looking for a dependable Housekeeper to become a valued part of the household.
This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position offering approximately 16 hours per week, with working days flexible according to the successful candidate’s availability. The role can be arranged across two to five weekdays, with weekends not required, making it particularly suitable for an experienced Housekeeper looking for a flexible and manageable long-term position. The family is looking for someone who enjoys keeping a home clean, tidy and organised, and who is comfortable working around teenagers and several friendly dogs.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves keeping the home clean, comfortable and well organised, with particular attention to everyday tidiness and maintaining the property around family life and the dogs. Responsibilities will include regular cleaning, tidying, ironing, occasional laundry assistance, basic children’s wardrobe organisation, taking bins out, accepting deliverie, helping with groceries and occasional assistance with meal prep. As the family has recently moved, there will also be some practical support with preparing the home before their belongings arrive and helping to organise household areas once everything has been delivered. The successful candidate should be flexible, proactive and comfortable using initiative, with occasional simple meal preparation or kitchen assistance appreciated when required.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Regular cleaning and general upkeep of the three-floor family home
- Maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other household spaces to a high standard
- Keeping the home tidy and well organised, particularly around the needs of three teenage children and four dogs
- Regular dusting, vacuuming, mopping and general household cleaning
- Taking appropriate care of delicate household surfaces including marble and wooden flooring
- Laundry assistance as required, including sorting and putting clean items away
- Ironing of household linen
- Basic children’s wardrobe organisation, including sorting, tidying and separating clean and dirty clothing
- Helping to prepare and organise the home before the family’s remaining belongings arrive
- Assisting with unpacking and organising household belongings as the family settles into the property
- Accepting household deliveries and allowing maintenance professionals or contractors access to the property when required
- Assisting with unloading and putting away grocery deliveries
- Taking household bins out on the designated collection days
- Occasional basic cooking assistance when required
- Working comfortably around dogs and maintaining a clean home in a pet-friendly environment, with no pet care duties required
- Working independently, proactively and flexibly while adapting to the family’s changing household needs
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
