Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, proactive, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a well-maintained private household located in Wimbledon, London. The household comprises adult principals only and is already run in a very organised and well-kept manner, with the family now seeking additional support to help maintain the home to its existing high standard. The property itself is manageable in size, consisting of three bedrooms, a workshop space, and a garden area. The family are seeking a trustworthy, initiative-driven professional with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to work independently without requiring constant supervision. A friendly middle dog is part of the household, therefore the successful candidate must be genuinely dog-friendly.
This is a live-out, part-time role based in Wimbledon, London, with excellent public transport connections and a bus stop located within approximately a five-minute walk from the property, making the home easily accessible for commuting. The position offers a stable and long-term opportunity within a calm adult-only household. Working as a Housekeeper within this home involves maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and household presentation while also assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the property. The role would suit a Housekeeper who is proactive, capable of thinking ahead, and confident managing responsibilities independently, particularly when the principals are travelling and require somebody dependable to oversee the home in their absence.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household includes scheduled deep cleaning, laundry and ironing, wardrobe and linen management, changing beds and towels, cleaning windows, and maintaining the home to a consistently immaculate standard. Additional responsibilities include caring for delicate surfaces and specialist items such as silverware and antiques, maintaining outdoor furniture, monitoring household supplies, and overseeing general household maintenance by identifying repair needs, reporting them to the principals, and liaising with maintenance specialists and contractors when required. The family prefer eco-friendly household products and value a Housekeeper who takes a thoughtful and organised approach to household management. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Scheduled deep cleaning of all household areas to a consistently high standard
- Laundry, ironing, linen care, and wardrobe organisation
- Changing and rotating bed linen and towels
- Cleaning windows and maintaining immaculate presentation throughout the property
- Silver polishing and specialist care of antiques and delicate household items
- Maintaining and cleaning outdoor furniture and assisting with general household presentation
- Monitoring and ordering household and cleaning supplies, with preference for eco-friendly products
- Monitoring general household maintenance requirements and reporting repair needs to the principals
- Liaising with maintenance contractors and arranging specialist services when required
- Taking responsibility for the household while the principals are travelling, including holding house keys
- Caring for household plants and ensuring the home remains organised and well maintained
- Maintaining high standards of organisation, tidiness, and household presentation at all times
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- DBS check
