PERMANENT PART-TIME LIVE-OUT HOUSEKEEPER

Salary: £20–£25 per hour gross
The position covers the family’s principal three-bedroom London apartment and a separate one-bedroom guest apartment located nearby. Both residences are modern, immaculately presented, and furnished with valuable artwork, high-quality furniture, and specialist finishes requiring knowledgeable and careful attention.
As two family members have dust allergies, meticulous dust control is especially important. The successful candidate will be expected to clean thoroughly beneath and behind accessible furniture and maintain an air purifier in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
This is a housekeeping-focused position with no cooking, childcare, pet care, driving, travelling, shopping, or formal service responsibilities.
The role will operate for approximately four to six hours on one weekday per week. The family is flexible regarding the working day, although Wednesday has historically been preferred. The ideal starting date is during the week commencing 10 August 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining the principal three-bedroom apartment and separate one-bedroom guest apartment to an exceptional standard
- Completing detailed weekly cleaning and scheduled monthly housekeeping tasks
- Maintaining meticulous dust control, including beneath and behind accessible furniture
- Cleaning and maintaining the household air purifier in accordance with the appropriate instructions
- Caring correctly for valuable artwork, luxury furniture, specialist surfaces, and delicate household items
- Cleaning and presenting bedrooms, bathrooms, reception areas, the kitchen, and guest accommodation
- Managing household laundry, bed linen, folding, and general garment care
- Ensuring that the guest apartment remains fresh, organised, and ready for use
- Monitoring both residences while the family is abroad and preparing them for the family’s return
- Working considerately around the principals, children, nannies, and other household staff
- Reporting maintenance concerns promptly and maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ professional housekeeping experience within a high-end private household
- Proven experience caring for luxury interiors, valuable artwork, delicate furnishings, and specialist surfaces
- A meticulous approach to dust control and experience working within allergy-sensitive households
- Strong knowledge of household laundry, bed-linen care, and appropriate cleaning products
- The ability to follow structured weekly and monthly housekeeping schedules
- Highly reliable, punctual, trustworthy, organised, and confident working independently
- Good spoken English
- At least two excellent, verbally checkable professional references
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
- Current DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
