The household comprises two adult principals and their two young children, living in a beautifully maintained two-bedroom, two-floor apartment. The family values longevity and is seeking a cheerful, energetic, and physically fit Housekeeper who enjoys working around children and can become a trusted long-term part of their home.
This is a permanent, live-out, part-time position working 4 days per week, totalling 12 hours per week. The property is easily accessible by public transport, making commuting straightforward from many parts of London. Working as a Housekeeper within this household involves maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation while using initiative to identify tasks independently. Although childcare is not the primary focus of the role, the successful candidate should be confident working around young children, with occasional babysitting required by prior arrangement. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Housekeeper seeking stable, long-term part-time employment within a respectful and appreciative family environment.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves taking full responsibility for the day-to-day cleanliness and organisation of the home while maintaining delicate household finishes to an excellent standard. Duties include daily housekeeping, scheduled deep cleaning, laundry, and ensuring the apartment remains beautifully presented at all times. Particular attention will be given to the care of marble, wooden surfaces, and other delicate materials. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Daily cleaning and upkeep of the two-bedroom, two-floor apartment to an exceptional standard
- Scheduled deep cleaning of all household areas
- Laundry, ironing, linen care, and wardrobe organisation
- Care and maintenance of delicate household surfaces including marble and wood
- Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, and all living areas
- Monitoring household supplies and reporting when replenishment is required
- Tidying and organising household storage areas
- Working proactively and independently, identifying tasks without supervision
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and child-friendly home environment while working around young children
- Providing occasional babysitting by prior arrangement when required
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household with a positive and professional attitude
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- DBS Check
