Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, proactive, and discreet part-time live-out Weekend Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming private household based in Kensington, London. The family has three young children and employs a nanny alongside two full-time housekeepers during the week, therefore the weekend workload is expected to remain organised, structured, and manageable.
The principals are seeking a reliable and energetic candidate who is confident maintaining high housekeeping standards within a busy family household environment. The successful candidate will assist with the smooth running of the home during weekends, ensuring the property remains tidy, organised, and well presented at all times. The family entertains regularly, therefore attention to detail and the ability to maintain presentation standards are essential for this role.
Main duties will include cleaning the kitchen after family meals, general household tidying, laundry, ironing, and maintaining overall household organisation throughout the weekend. Whilst cooking is not a requirement, candidates who are confident preparing simple meals would be highly appreciated.
The ideal candidate will be child-friendly, professional, self-motivated, and capable of working independently whilst also integrating well within an established fully staffed household environment. The family is open to considering both employed and self-employed candidates, although there is a slight preference towards a self-employed arrangement.

Main duties of the Housekeeper:
- Cleaning the kitchen after meals
- General tidying and maintaining household organisation
- Laundry and ironing
- Ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and presentable throughout the weekend
- Supporting the smooth running of the household alongside existing staff
- Assisting with simple cooking duties if able (optional)
- Maintaining a welcoming and comfortable family environment
Requirements for this Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a private household
- Good spoken English essential
- Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of household privacy
- At least two excellent, checkable references
- Valid right to work in the UK
