Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a truly exceptional opportunity for an experienced and polished Private Housekeeper to join a prestigious private household operating across two of Central London's most coveted addresses.
This is a live-out, full-time, permanent position split across a beautifully maintained two-bedroom apartment on Cranley Gardens, South Kensington — one of the most sought-after streets in the borough — and an interconnecting flat on Charles Street in the heart of Mayfair. Both properties enjoy superb public transport connections: Gloucester Road Underground station is moments from the South Kensington property, whilst the Mayfair flat is within a two to five minute walk of both Bond Street and Green Park stations, making this a highly accessible role for experienced domestic professionals across London.
The successful candidate will spend three days per week at the South Kensington apartment and the remaining two days at the Mayfair property. This is a role that demands a consistently immaculate approach across two distinct and elegant environments, the ability to manage one's time and priorities independently, and the professionalism and poise to operate within a fully staffed household during periods of family residence.
Beyond standard daily and deep-cleaning duties, the role includes the specialist care of fine furnishings, luxury wardrobes, and valuable household assets, front-of-house support during the seasonal calendar, and the seamless preparation of both properties between periods of family absence and arrival. The family's Labrador will be in residence during the summer months, and comfort with pets is essential.

The Duties:
- Maintaining the very highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and household order across both properties, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms, and communal areas
- Carrying out thorough daily and deep-cleaning routines, applying appropriate products and techniques for each surface, material, and finish throughout both properties
- Specialist care of fine art, luxury furnishings, designer homeware, and valuable household assets, using correct methods and products throughout
- Laundering, pressing, steaming, and ironing household linens, bedding, and garments to an impeccable standard, with careful attention to delicate fabrics and high-value pieces
- Wardrobe management, including seasonal organisation, garment steaming, and the care and storage of fine clothing and accessories
- Making and turning down beds to a 5-star standard, with full linen changes as required
- Preparing and servicing guest suites and reception rooms to an exceptional standard ahead of family arrival and for large-scale entertaining
- Assisting with front-of-house duties during periods of family residence, including formal and informal table setting, coffee and light refreshment service, and out-serving as required — full training provided by the House Manager
- Working cooperatively and harmoniously alongside the wider household team and seasonal staff throughout the family's residence
- Liaising professionally with the House Manager on a daily basis, adhering to all household guidelines and protocols
- Coordinating efficiently with external contractors and service providers, and proactively identifying and resolving household maintenance issues before they escalate
- Supporting property organisation, restocking, and full preparation works during the family's absence
- Managing time effectively and independently across two locations, adhering to the agreed weekly schedule
- Maintaining a thoroughly professional, well-presented appearance
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of private household experience — experience within UHNW or fully staffed household environments is a significant advantage
- Demonstrable expertise in the specialist care of fine furnishings, luxury surfaces, and high-value household assets
- 2 excellent, checkable references
- Conversational and written English
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
- DBS certificate
- Comfortable working across two separate Central London locations on a fixed weekly schedule
- Basic knowledge of formal or informal table service and front-of-house etiquette is desirable — full training will be provided for the right candidate
