Both properties benefit from outstanding public transport links. The Gloucester Road apartment is situated moments from Gloucester Road Underground station, whilst the Mayfair property is within a two to five minute walk of both Bond Street and Green Park stations — making this a highly accessible and commutable position for experienced domestic professionals residing across London.
This is a live-out role.
Three days per week, the successful candidate will maintain a two-bedroom apartment on Cranley Gardens, Gloucester Road — one of South Kensington's most sought-after addresses. The remaining two days will be spent at the interconnecting flat on Charles Street in Mayfair.
The role demands the ability to maintain consistently immaculate standards across two very different environments, whilst managing one's time effectively and working harmoniously within a broader household team. Typical responsibilities encompass the full range of housekeeping duties — deep cleaning, laundry, linen management, and wardrobe care — alongside front-of-house support during periods of family residence, including table service, coffee service, and out-serving as required. Working Days: Monday to Friday (split across two locations)
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (off-season); split shifts during family residence

The Duties:
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and impeccable presentation throughout both properties, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms, and communal areas
- Carrying out thorough daily and deep-cleaning routines using appropriate products and techniques suited to each property
- Laundering, pressing, and ironing household linens, bedding, and garments to an immaculate standard
- Making and turning down beds to a five-star standard, including full linen changes as required
- Assisting with front-of-house duties during periods of family residence, including table setting, coffee and light refreshment service, and out-serving as required (full training provided by the House Manager)
- Working cooperatively and harmoniously alongside the wider household team and seasonal staff during the family's period of residence
- Supporting property organisation, restocking, and preparation works during the family's absence
- Managing time effectively across two locations, adhering to the agreed weekly schedule and household protocols
- Liaising professionally with the House Manager on a daily basis, following all household guidelines and maintaining the required standards across both properties
- Maintaining a thoroughly professional and well-presented appearance
- Being flexible and accommodating in relation to split shift arrangements and evolving household needs during the seasonal calendar
- Basic knowledge of formal or informal table service and front-of-house etiquette is desirable. Full training will be provided by the resident House Manager for the right candidate.
- Three or more years of private household experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational and written English
- Valid UK working permit / right to work in the United Kingdom
- Valid DBS certificate
- Comfortable working across two separate locations on a fixed weekly schedule
- Professionally presented appearance
- Flexible and adaptable to a seasonal household schedule
