The family lives in a beautiful three-bedroom house and has a two-year-old daughter, who is cared for by the family's live-in nanny. The principals are looking for a professional housekeeper to provide temporary cover while their permanent housekeeper is on annual leave. This is a well-organised, fully staffed household where the successful candidate can focus on maintaining the home to a high standard. Notting Hill is one of West London's most desirable neighbourhoods, famous for its elegant Victorian and stucco-fronted homes, colourful streets, independent boutiques, cafés, and the iconic Portobello Road.
Working as a housekeeper in a private household involves maintaining the home to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation. In this temporary position, the successful candidate will focus specifically on cleaning and organising the three-bedroom house, ensuring that all rooms are kept immaculate and well-presented. The household is fully staffed, with a laundress responsible for the family's clothing and a live-in nanny caring for the child, so there is no laundry, childcare, or cooking requirement. The family also has a small, well-behaved dog who may occasionally need a short 20-minute morning walk. The family can offer a preferred schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings, providing a useful opportunity to fit the position around other commitments.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Cleaning and maintaining the three-bedroom house to an exceptionally high standard.
- Thoroughly cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, and other household spaces.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and maintaining all household surfaces appropriately.
- Cleaning and caring for marble surfaces using the specialist products provided by the family.
- Keeping rooms organised, tidy, and well-presented throughout the assignment.
- Maintaining the overall presentation of the property while ensuring that household items are returned to their appropriate places.
- Working efficiently and independently while following the family's established household routines.
- Occasionally taking the small, well-behaved family dog for a 20-minute morning walk when required.
- Maintaining discretion and professionalism when working around the principals, who spend considerable time at home.
- Respecting the family's privacy and confidentiality and signing an NDA as required.
- Supporting the smooth running and presentation of the home throughout the permanent housekeeper's annual leave.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
- Two excellent checkable references
