Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a superb opportunity for a professional, experienced and dedicated Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper to join a respectful and well-organised private household based in Knightsbridge, London. This is a long-term position for a trustworthy and energetic Housekeeper who is confident managing a large private residence to exceptionally high standards.
The household is seeking a proactive and discreet professional with previous experience working within private households, excellent organisational skills, and a positive, can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full housekeeping management of a beautiful five-bedroom property set across three floors. The workload is steady, structured, and well-maintained.
The family travels regularly on a monthly basis and also entertains guests approximately once per month, therefore flexibility, attention to detail, and confidence preparing the home for visitors are essential. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for welcoming and meeting guests in a professional and polished manner when required. Cooking is not required for this role; however, a candidate who enjoys cooking or can occasionally assist with simple meal preparation in the future would be highly appreciated. Mandarin language skills would also be considered a significant advantage.
The household also has a friendly Yorkshire Terrier, therefore candidates must be comfortable assisting with pet care duties including walking, feeding, and occasional bathing. Working Hours: Approximately 48 hours per week, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm or 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Salary: £57,400 – £67,000 gross per annum, based on qualifications

Language Requirements: Good English essential | Mandarin would be a bonus

Main duties of the Housekeeper:
- Full housekeeping duties within a five-bedroom private residence
- Daily cleaning to a very high standard
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate garments
- Wardrobe organisation and maintenance
- Household organisation and upkeep across three floors
- Preparing the home for guests and occasional entertaining
- Welcoming and meeting guests
- Maintaining household supplies and ensuring the property remains fully stocked
- Managing household routines efficiently and proactively
- Assisting with occasional errands if required
- Caring for the family’s Yorkshire Terrier, including walking, feeding, and occasional bathing
- Occasional simple cooking assistance would be considered a bonus
Requirements for this Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a private household
- Good spoken English essential
- Mandarin language skills highly desirable
- Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of household privacy
- Comfortable with pet care, including dog walking
- At least two excellent, checkable references
- Valid right to work in the UK
