This permanent, live-out position offers 15 hours per week across 2 days, starting on 8th January 2025. The role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housekeeper who is organised, meticulous, and committed to maintaining the home to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be replacing the family’s previous housekeeper and will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the household.

Main duties of the Part Time Housekeeper:
- Thorough cleaning of all areas in the house, ensuring each room is maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning surfaces.
- Washing and changing the linen on both beds weekly. Making up the fold-up bed when necessary, and packing it away when not in use.
- Managing the laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and packing clothes away neatly in wardrobes and drawers, ensuring proper organisation and accessibility.
- Regular cleaning of the lightwell to ensure it remains clean and unobstructed.
- Sweeping the courtyard and removing leaves, ensuring the outdoor area is tidy and well-kept when necessary.
- Taking out rubbish to the exterior bin and replacing bin liners as required, ensuring efficient and timely disposal of household waste.
- Helping to maintain order and organisation within the home, such as organising shelves, wardrobes, and the fridge, ensuring everything is in its proper place.
- When applicable, packing away grocery shopping, ensuring all items are stored appropriately in the kitchen.
- Caring for the family’s cat, including cleaning and maintaining the cat’s litter boxes, removing refuse, cleaning with cat-specific detergent, drying, and refilling with fresh litter once a month.
Requirements for this Part Time Housekeeper:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
