The household is home to one adult principal and is maintained in a calm and well-organised manner. The property is arranged over four floors, with the principal currently using one bedroom, while the remaining areas simply require regular care and upkeep. The family is seeking a reliable Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining excellent standards and is comfortable working independently within a private residence.
This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position offering 16 hours per week across three to four working days, with some flexibility around the exact days and hours depending on the successful professional's availability. Located in Chelsea, the property is easily accessible by public transport, with excellent local transport links and amenities nearby. The role would suit an experienced Housekeeper looking for a well-structured part-time position with a consistent schedule and a straightforward range of housekeeping responsibilities.
Working as a Part-Time Housekeeper in this household involves maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of the property through regular housekeeping and laundry duties. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, tidying, maintaining cupboards and storage areas, laundry and ironing, and making and changing beds. The Housekeeper may occasionally receive household deliveries and organise items once received. The role remains focused on maintaining the home to a high standard. This position would suit an adaptable, diligent, and proactive Housekeeper who enjoys working independently and takes pride in attention to detail.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Keeping the principal's bedroom and regularly used areas particularly well presented
- Maintaining less frequently used areas of the property through regular light upkeep
- Regular cleaning and upkeep of the four-floor private residence
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining floors throughout the property
- Cleaning and maintaining rooms and other household spaces
- Maintaining a high standard of household presentation and cleanliness
- Tidying rooms and keeping household areas organised
- Organising cupboards, storage areas, and household belongings
- Laundry, ironing, folding, and putting clothing and household linens away
- Making and changing beds and maintaining bed linen
- Maintaining towels and other household linens as required
- Occasionally receiving household deliveries and organising items appropriately
- Ensuring household items are stored neatly and efficiently
- Working proactively and independently while managing priorities within the allocated hours
- Maintaining discretion, reliability, and professional standards at all times
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
