Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a reliable, highly organised, and experienced Housekeeper/Cook to join a warm and welcoming family of three in the desirable Chelsea area of London. The household comprises two adult principals and one high-school-aged child and is seeking a professional who will take pride in caring for their beautifully maintained house. The family is looking for someone adaptable, hands-on, and happy to take ownership of the home while contributing to a relaxed and well-organised household environment. Located within walking distance of Sloane Square Underground Station, the property is ideally positioned for convenient access to Chelsea and central London.
This is a permanent, full-time, live-out position working Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 7:00pm, offering a consistent 40-hour working week. The property is within walking distance of Sloane Square Underground Station and local shops and amenities, making the role convenient to commute to and allowing household shopping and errands to be completed locally without the need for long journeys. Working as a Housekeeper/Cook in this household involves maintaining the home to a high standard through daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, linen care, and general organisation, alongside preparing healthy evening meals for the family. The role also includes menu planning, grocery shopping, occasional errands, and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
Working as a Housekeeper/Cook involves taking responsibility for the presentation and organisation of the home while providing practical support to the family. Duties include cleaning and tidying throughout the property, caring for delicate surfaces using appropriate products, managing laundry and basic wardrobe organisation, preparing healthy family-style meals, and keeping household supplies well maintained. The Housekeeper/Cook will also run occasional errands, purchase fresh flowers, care for indoor plants, report maintenance issues, and liaise with contractors or maintenance professionals when required. This is a hands-on position suited to a professional who is confident working independently, enjoys cooking, and takes genuine pride in maintaining a well-kept private home.

Main duties of this Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook:
- Daily cleaning and tidying throughout the house, maintaining a consistently high standard of presentation
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other household spaces
- Scheduled deeper cleaning of household areas as required
- Laundry, ironing, folding, and general linen care
- Changing and rotating bed linen and towels
- Basic wardrobe management, including putting clean laundry away and keeping clothing organised
- Caring for marble, wood, silver and granite surfaces
- Organising cupboards, household storage areas, and general living spaces
- Caring for indoor houseplants and ensuring they are appropriately watered
- Purchasing fresh flowers for the home when required
- Running household errands, including collecting dry cleaning and returning purchases
- Grocery shopping and keeping household food supplies appropriately stocked
- Planning healthy and varied family menus
- Preparing simple, healthy evening meals for the family
- Monitoring household requirements and informing the principals when supplies need replenishing
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly and liaising with contractors and maintenance professionals as required
- Working independently and proactively, with minimal supervision
- Maintaining discretion, professionalism, and excellent household standards at all times
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook job:
- Five of more years of private Housekeeper experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Fluent English
- Valid UK working permit
