A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to join a lovely family home in the heart of Chelsea, one of London's most prestigious and sought-after neighbourhoods. The principals are a married couple with two young children, living in a beautifully maintained property on a quiet, tree-lined street just off the King's Road. Chelsea offers an abundance of boutique shops, charming cafés, and beautiful green spaces, making it an incredibly desirable area in which to work.
This is a live-out position, and Chelsea is exceptionally well served by public transport. Sloane Square and South Kensington Underground stations are both within easy walking distance, and numerous bus routes run through the area, making the daily commute straightforward and convenient for candidates across London.
The ideal candidate will be someone who takes genuine satisfaction in creating and maintaining a pristine home environment, who can follow a structured weekly timetable whilst also using their own initiative to identify tasks that need attention. This role involves general housekeeping duties including thorough cleaning, hoovering, deep cleaning of kitchens and bathrooms, laundry management, and the care of specialist surfaces such as marble and granite. With two young children in the household, laundry and washing will be a significant and ongoing responsibility. The family values a self-starter who can work independently, maintain the highest standards, and treat the home with the same care and attention as if it were their own.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- General daily housekeeping to an exceptional standard across all living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms
- Thorough hoovering, mopping, and dusting, including moving furniture to clean underneath and behind
- Deep cleaning of kitchens, ovens, bathrooms, and all high-use areas on a scheduled basis
- Care and maintenance of specialist surfaces and materials, including marble and granite
- Daily management of laundry, washing, ironing, and folding for the family, including two young children
- Maintaining the large open-plan kitchen and living area to the highest standard on a daily basis
- Following a structured weekly cleaning timetable set by the principal
- Using initiative during flexible periods to identify and complete tasks that require attention
- Ensuring all cleaning products and supplies are stocked and appropriate for specialist materials
- General tidying and organisation throughout the property
- Cooking skills are desirable but not essential; basic meal preparation or kitchen assistance would be considered an advantage
Minimal Requirements:
- Three or more years of private Housekeeper experience
- 2 excellent, checkable references
- Conversational English
- Valid UK working permit
- Proven experience working with specialist materials such as marble and granite
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with genuine attention to detail
