Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is looking for an experienced and reliable housekeeper for a private apartment in St John’s Wood, London. This is a part-time position for 8 hours per week, ideally spread over two days per week with 4 hours each day. The schedule is flexible and can be discussed further with suitable candidates. Self-employed applicants are welcome, and the preferred start date is as soon as possible.
The role involves all classical housekeeping duties within a well-maintained three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment, including thorough cleaning, laundry care, managing dry cleaning, handling deliveries, and general household upkeep. The household includes two adults and two children (13 and 15), with one parent normally based in another city and therefore not regularly present at the apartment
There are two well-trained and well-behaved dogs in the household—a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Cavapoo. Pet-related duties are minimal and limited mainly to hoovering carpets and maintaining cleanliness after the dogs, as all other pet care is managed by the principals.
The family is informal and easy-going but values a housekeeper who is organised, proactive, and able to manage tasks independently. A good command of English is essential, along with the ability to take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day upkeep of the apartment. Live out Housekeeper duties may include:
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the apartment
- Performing classical housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and ironing
- Managing dry cleaning and handling deliveries
- Maintaining kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas
- Hoovering and keeping areas clean after the two household dogs
- Running general household upkeep tasks
- Taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the apartment
- Working independently, organising tasks, and prioritising efficiently
- Adapting to the household’s flexible schedule and requirements
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of Housekeeper experience
- Fluent in English
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
- DBS check
