Perfect Household Staff is offering an opportunity for an experienced housekeeper in St John’s Wood to join a household on a temporary basis. This four-month contract is perfect for a proactive and reliable professional with a background in UHNW environments. St John’s Wood is one of London’s most prestigious and picturesque neighbourhoods, known for its elegant tree-lined avenues, grand villas, and refined village atmosphere. Historically developed in the early 19th century as one of the city’s first suburbs of detached homes, it offered an alternative to the dense terraces common elsewhere in London.
The household consists of two respectful and independent young adult siblings who maintain a well-organised home environment. The family are seeking a reliable and self-motivated professional housekeeper to maintain the pristine condition of their property during a temporary 4-month period. Their previous housekeeper, who had been with the family for several years, is taking a sabbatical to return to her home country for family commitments. She has left on very positive terms and will provide a handover, ensuring a smooth transition.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high housekeeping standards across the property. This private household cleaner role requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage daily tasks efficiently. You will be working in a structured and well-maintained environment alongside other staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the household.

Job Details:
- Contract Length: 1st June 2025 – 3rd October 2025
- Working Days: 5 days per week
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Salary: £15 – £19 gross per hour

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Daily cleaning of all rooms to an exceptional standard
Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate and luxury fabrics
Organisation of wardrobes and linen cupboards
Occasional help with serving and front-of-house tasks
Restocking of household supplies
Monitoring and reporting of household maintenance needs
Minimal Requirements:
Three or more years of private housekeeping experience
Two excellent, checkable references
Conversational level of English
Valid UK working permit
