Perfect Household Staff is pleased to share a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and professional live-out Housekeeper to join a lovely family residing in St John's Wood, London. This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with working hours either from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm or 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Flexibility is essential, as occasional weekend work may be required, although this would be very rare and with advance notice.

The family home is a beautifully maintained two-floor property featuring four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living rooms, and formal areas. There are no pets in the residence. The family consists of two adults and four children, although only two children (aged 14 and 15) return home from boarding school on weekends. The family are not permanently based in the UK and often travel, meaning the household can be quieter at times, though it can become busier when all family members are in residence. Friends may visit occasionally.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for all housekeeping duties, including daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, making beds, and general upkeep of the property to a high standard. Breakfast preparation is required each morning, and when the principals are in residence, cooking for the family is also expected — typically two meals per day, such as breakfast and dinner, or breakfast and lunch. On rare occasions, three meals a day may be needed. Grocery shopping and ensuring household supplies are well stocked are also part of the role.
Although a House Manager is employed to oversee property matters, they are located remotely, so the Housekeeper should be capable of managing the day-to-day running of the home independently and liaising with the House Manager when needed. Vendor and contractor coordination may occasionally be required but would be directed and supported by the House Manager.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of discretion, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to housekeeping. Strong ironing and laundry skills are of top priority, along with a polite and flexible attitude. The ability to travel with the family on occasion would be a bonus but is not essential. A handover and training period will be provided by the current Housekeeper to ensure a smooth transition. The position is available for an immediate start.
