Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a lovely opportunity for a warm, upbeat, and energetic Housekeeper to join a welcoming private family in Highgate, North London. The household comprises two adult principals and their two children, aged 15 and 17, along with the family’s friendly Cockapoo. The family is seeking a reliable Housekeeper who will become a valued part of the household, maintaining a comfortable and well-organised home while providing practical day-to-day support. Highgate is one of North London’s most desirable residential areas, known for its village atmosphere, attractive streets, green spaces, and excellent local amenities.
This is a permanent, 35 hours/week position with formal employment, working five days per week from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The Housekeeper will be responsible for the general upkeep and presentation of the home, including cleaning, laundry and ironing, household organisation, and occasional preparation of bedrooms for visiting family. The property has six bedrooms, although only three are regularly in use, allowing the Housekeeper to focus their daily attention where it is most needed. There may also be occasional weekend overnight stays when required, with a separate en suite bedroom provided within the home, primarily to ensure the children are safe and comfortable.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves taking care of the home’s day-to-day presentation while supporting the family with practical household organisation. Duties include general and scheduled deep cleaning, laundry and ironing, organising cupboards and the fridge, receiving and putting away deliveries, occasional shopping, and liaising with maintenance staff and contractors when required. Basic care of the family’s Cockapoo, including washing the dog, will also form part of the role. Cooking is not essential, although willingness to prepare meals would be a welcome additional skill. This is a well-defined position suited to a professional Housekeeper who is proactive, energetic and enjoys maintaining a warm and well-run family home. A non-smoker with good English is required.

Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
