Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a professional, reliable, and discreet Housekeeper to join a private household in Hampstead, London. This is a long-term, permanent, part-time position ideally suited to a conscientious individual who takes pride in maintaining a spotless, well-organised home.
The household consists of a young couple living in a bright, three-bedroom apartment across a single floor. The family also has a well-behaved chow chow; however, no pet care duties are required. This is a high-profile household in terms of standards and expectations; the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times. Understanding the nuances of working in a household where privacy and trust are paramount is essential.
The role primarily involves standard housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, hoovering, laundry, and ironing. Knowledge of cooking is considered a bonus but is not essential. The household is seeking someone friendly, easygoing, and capable of working independently while maintaining the high standards expected in a professional, high-profile domestic environment.

Main duties of the Housekeeper:
- Performing general cleaning and tidying throughout the apartment
- Dusting and polishing surfaces
- Vacuuming and maintaining floors
- Managing laundry and ironing
- Organising cupboards and household areas as needed
- Occasionally assisting with light meal preparation (optional)
- Upholding discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Working independently while maintaining a friendly and professional approach
Requirements for this Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- Valid UK work permit
- Ability to work on a self-employed basis
- Friendly, reliable, and trustworthy with high standards of discretion
