While the setting is rural and peaceful, Westerham remains conveniently situated within commuting distance to London. Due to its countryside location, a full driving licence and access to a car are essential for this position.
We are seeking a professional housekeeper who is meticulous, discreet, and confident in managing the upkeep of a busy private household. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and a proactive attitude, working efficiently to maintain the home to a consistently high standard.
Key responsibilities will include all general housekeeping tasks such as hoovering, dusting, polishing, bathroom sanitation, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation. The candidate must be experienced in working with luxury finishes such as marble and wood, taking care to use appropriate methods and products. Additional duties may include reorganising kitchen storage areas, preparing occasional light family meals, and providing basic care for the family’s affectionate Scotch Terrier.

Main duties of the Part-time Housekeeper:
- General housekeeping including hoovering, polishing, and deep cleaning of bathrooms
- Cleaning and caring for delicate surfaces such as marble and wood
- Laundry and ironing, including wardrobe organization
- Kitchen cupboard organisation
- Occasional basic cooking for the family
- Basic pet care for a friendly Scotch Terrier
- Changing bed linens
Requirements for this Part-time Housekeeper job:
- 3+ years of relevant private housekeeping and cooking experience
- Excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- Driving license and access to a vehicle
- A valid DBS
- UK working permit
