HOUSEKEEPER JOB IN TUNBRIDGE WELLS, KENT
SALARY: 44 200 – 52 000 GBP / Year Gross
A welcoming family in Tunbridge Wells, Kent is searching for a skilled housekeeper who thrives in a bustling home with children and enjoys preparing meals. The family consists of 5 children, including twins who are part-time residents. The mother is a stay-at-home parent who will be present throughout the day. The family already has a driver and a pool caretaker, so your primary responsibility will be managing the household.

It is essential for the candidate to possess a valid, clean driving license and to feel comfortable around dogs, as there is a large German shepherd in the household.

Position Type: Permanent, Live Out, Full Time
Salary: 44,200 - 52,000 GBP Gross per year
Working days: Monday - Friday
Working hours: 6:30am - 4:30pm (every other Saturday 7am to 12 noon – paid extra)

Duties of a private housekeeper job will include:
- Preparing breakfast / lunch and assisting with the busy mornings for the family
- General housekeeping
- Maintaining the property to a very high standard throughout
- General cleaning and tidying will include: wiping and polishing furniture, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning windows and glass, ensuring bathrooms are kept immaculately – cleaning and disinfecting equipment at the end of the day
- Arranging and supervising other cleaners and trades as applicable
- Changing and making beds, preparing for household guests as applicable
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Ensuring shoes are cleaned (any necessary repairs reported and arranged)
- Running errands – to include food & groceries (butcher, fishmonger, fruit & veg.), specialist dry cleaning, shoe repairs etc.
- Shopping – replenishing supplies when needed
- Receiving home deliveries and post
- Feeding and walking the two dogs
- Arranging grooming appointments and training where required
- Checking and maintaining an inventory of household items, equipment and furniture
- Notifying any accidents or damage to the family in order for repair or replacement
- Flexibility on working times would be helpful for babysitting and/or housesitting during family holidays, looking after the dogs during this time
- Meeting and greeting guests, making tea and coffees
Requirements for this Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years similar work experience
- Perfect references
- Dog friendly
- UK working permit
- Full UK Driving License – car provided for while on duty
