Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is pleased to present a part-time housekeeping opportunity within a well-maintained private residence in Sevenoaks. The household comprises two adults and a friendly toy poodle, with only one or two bedrooms and bathrooms in regular daily use. The property features five bedrooms and five bathrooms arranged over two floors, and the family is seeking a committed housekeeper to ensure the home is cared for to an exceptional standard.
The position requires 2–3 hours per day, 3–4 days per week, ideally Monday to Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Responsibilities include the overall maintenance of the home, daily cleaning, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom refreshment, laundry care, wardrobe management, linen organisation, kitchen upkeep, and general household tidiness. Classical housekeeping duties such as managing bins and ensuring all living areas remain orderly and welcoming form a core part of the role. Light pet care for the toy poodle may occasionally be required, and simple cooking may be requested from time to time, though not essential. No driving or travel is involved.
The family is looking for a loyal, honest, hardworking, and personable candidate with fluent English and a professional approach to private housekeeping. This is a permanent placement offering £20–£25 gross per hour, and the client is open to providing annual leave. Self-employed candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. Main duties of the Part Time Housekeeper:
- Carrying out daily cleaning, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and mopping
- Refreshing bathrooms and keeping all areas tidy and presentable
- Managing laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and linen care
- Assisting with basic wardrobe and clothing organisation
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and general household order
- Managing household bins and routine housekeeping tasks
- Providing light care for the family’s toy poodle
- Preparing simple meals occasionally if requested
Requirements for The Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private housekeeping roles
- Strong checkable references
- UK working permit
- DBS check
- Fluency in English
