The family resides in a beautiful six-bedroom home arranged over two floors, surrounded by peaceful countryside and complemented by a separate pool house and gym. The property features a combination of stone, marble, and wood surfaces, requiring an experienced professional who understands the appropriate cleaning and care techniques for such materials.
Tewin is a charming and tranquil village situated between Welwyn Garden City and Hertford, offering a beautiful rural lifestyle within easy reach of North London. Due to the countryside location and limited public transport links, a driving licence and access to a car are essential. The family will reimburse petrol expenses when the car is used for family errands, such as collecting dry cleaning or light household shopping.
The family has three school-aged children and maintains a warm and friendly household atmosphere. The previous housekeeper worked with the family for four years before relocating, and the principals are now hoping to find another long-term and reliable person to become part of their home. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Daily cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming throughout the house
- Polishing and caring for various surfaces including stone, marble, and wood
- Managing laundry, washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
- Cleaning and maintaining the pool house and gym areas
- Occasional errands such as collecting dry cleaning or household shopping (petrol reimbursed)
- Maintaining cleanliness of the fireplace (training provided)
- Ensuring cleaning products and household supplies are well-stocked
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Conversational level of English
- Being able to work on a self-employed basis
- Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car
