PERMANENT FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT HOUSEKEEPER JOB

SALARY: UP TO £45,000 GROSS PER ANNUM
The family is looking for someone who feels comfortable being part of a busy family home, and who is happy to work alongside the family rather than to a fixed, separate list. Tasks can be shared between the housekeeper and the parents depending on the day, so a flexible, common-sense approach is important. The role suits someone who enjoys being around children and family life. The role covers general housekeeping and cleaning throughout the house, along with a significant amount of laundry. Given four children, this tends to be mostly everyday items such as school and sports kit, rather than delicate or high-value fabrics. Bed changes and general tidiness are also part of the role, along with some help with meal preparation during the week.
During school holidays, the focus shifts slightly, and the family would welcome some additional support with the children, such as taking them out, or dropping them at a friend's house or a birthday party. It is important to be clear that this is not a childcare or nanny position, but the right person should feel genuinely comfortable being around children of this age, particularly the younger two, and enjoy being part of family life rather than working somewhere quieter or more formal.

Main Duties:
- General housekeeping and cleaning throughout the house
- Laundry, including a high volume of children's clothing and sports kit, and changing beds
- Help with meal preparation
- During school holidays, additional support such as taking the children out, or dropping them at a birthday party or activity (this is not a childcare or nanny role)
- Occasional errands as needed, for example picking something up, dropping something off, or taking the dog to the groomer
- General flexibility to see what needs doing on a given day, and to prioritise accordingly
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of verified private household experience
- A valid DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
- Verbal and written references from previous private employers
- Comfortable being around a small dog
- Able to help with occasional errands and short local trips as needed
