Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, friendly, and initiative-driven Housekeeper to join a welcoming young family based in the picturesque village of Wherwell, near Andover in Hampshire. The household comprises two adult principals and two young children living in a well-maintained four-bedroom family home. The family are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeper who is comfortable working around children and capable of maintaining the property to a consistently high standard while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the household. Located in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by Hampshire countryside, this role would suit somebody who enjoys working within a calm family environment and takes pride in creating an organised and well-presented home.
This is a permanent, live-out, part-time position offering approximately 12–15 working hours per week across three or more days, with a preference for morning shifts to allow the successful Housekeeper to assist with kitchen cleaning and household organisation following the family’s breakfast routine. Due to the rural location of the property, an own car is essential, as the home is not accessible by public transport. Working as a Housekeeper within this household involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the property while managing regular household duties independently and proactively. The family would also welcome occasional light meal preparation, although cooking is not a primary responsibility within the role.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household includes comprehensive cleaning duties, scheduled deep cleaning, laundry and ironing, wardrobe organisation, bed changing, and maintaining tidy and organised family living areas. Particular attention is required when caring for the property’s wooden floors, ensuring they are maintained appropriately using suitable cleaning methods and products. Additional responsibilities include tidying up after the children, maintaining immaculate kitchen presentation, and supporting the smooth running of the household through a thoughtful and organised approach. The family prefer eco-friendly household products and are looking for a Housekeeper who works with care, initiative, and excellent attention to detail within a busy but welcoming family home.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Scheduled deep cleaning of all household areas to a consistently high standard
- Daily cleaning duties including hoovering, dusting, mopping, and maintaining immaculate presentation throughout the home
- Cleaning and organising the kitchen area following the family’s morning routine
- Laundry, ironing, linen care, and basic wardrobe organisation
- Changing and rotating bed linen and towels
- Tidying children’s areas and maintaining organised family living spaces
- Careful maintenance and cleaning of wooden floors using appropriate cleaning methods and products
- Monitoring household supplies and assisting with household organisation
- Occasional light meal prep for the family when required
- Maintaining high standards of tidiness, cleanliness, and household presentation at all times
- Using eco-friendly cleaning products in line with the family’s household preferences
- Working independently and proactively while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Own car is essential
