Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for a professional and dedicated housekeeper to join a welcoming family residing in a charming two-storey home in Cleeve Hill, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This picturesque countryside location is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, offering sweeping views over the Cotswolds and a peaceful, rural lifestyle. The family consists of four grown-ups and values longevity, loyalty, and a warm, harmonious household environment. The successful candidate will take over from a long-standing housekeeper who has been with the family for 20 years, who is now retiring to go to his original country, reflecting the supportive and respectful atmosphere within the home. The role will also involve walking and exercising two well-behaved mid-sized dogs, making it ideal for a dog-friendly professional.
Working as a housekeeper in a private residence of this nature requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail, and a pro-active approach. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the home to a high standard, as well as supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household. Duties will include cleaning, tidying, overseeing contractors, collecting post, and ensuring the property remains well-maintained. While cooking is not a primary requirement, basic culinary skills may be considered a bonus. Due to the countryside location, having a driving licence would be advantageous, although not essential, and a vehicle may be provided by the principals if required.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the two-storey property, including daily and deep cleaning tasks.
- Managing all aspects of household tidiness and organisation to ensure a welcoming and orderly environment.
- Walking and exercising two mid-sized dogs daily, ensuring their wellbeing and routine are maintained.
- Overseeing contractors and liaising with external service providers to ensure the property is well-maintained.
- Collecting and organising post and deliveries.
- Monitoring household supplies and reporting any requirements to the principals.
- Assisting with light cooking duties if required, although this is not a primary responsibility.
- Supporting the principals with general household management tasks as needed.
- Demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach, maintaining discretion and professionalism at all times.
The position is offered on a live-in basis with excellent accommodation. The housekeeper will be provided with a separate apartment comprising two bedrooms, a lounge, and a kitchen, offering a high level of comfort and privacy.
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper job:
