Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Live In/Out Housekeeper for a luxury residence in Braintree, North Essex. Join a respectful household where your skills will be valued and your contributions noticed. The property is a beautiful, traditional home furnished with antiques and fine finishes including marble.
The candidate should be comfortable caring for two friendly Miniature Schnauzers, including letting them into the garden and basic pet care. A driving licence and own vehicle are required, and a valid DBS check must be in place. The family occasionally require ad-hoc childcare support, so a candidate who enjoys the company of children and is happy to step in when needed is highly preferred.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, from either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role offers flexibility around family needs, particularly due to maternity arrangements. The position includes 20 days of paid holiday, and all contracts will be provided accordingly. Accommodation can be provided in a separate two-bedroom cottage, if live-in is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily deep cleaning of all rooms
- Laundry, ironing and care for fabrics such as cashmere
- Cooking healthy family meals (e.g., marinated fish, vegetables)
- Shopping for groceries and organising pantry
- Pet care (two Miniature Schnauzers)
- Ad-hoc childcare assistance when needed
- Running errands and occasional driving
Requirements:
- 3+ years of housekeeping experience
- UK right to work and valid DBS
- Driving licence and own car
- Checkable references
