Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper to join a welcoming family living in the East Sussex countryside. The family have recently moved into a beautiful and spacious property. Set within a private estate, the home combines both formal and family living spaces, requiring consistent care and organisation to maintain its standard.
The household includes a two-year-old daughter, though childcare is not required.
This is a live-out, part-time position ideally suited for a professional who is confident managing larger properties, discreet, and well-organised. Due to the property’s countryside location, a driving licence and access to a vehicle would be highly beneficial. The role offers flexibility in hours and the chance to become a long-term support to the family.
The family are looking for someone more dedicated than a standard cleaner - an experienced private housekeeper who can not only manage cleaning and ironing but also assist with meal preparation when required. This role will suit someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, is proactive, and has excellent attention to detail.

Job Details:
Type: Permanent, part-time, live-out
Working Days: 3–4 days per week
Working Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Salary: £20–25 gross per hour, self-employed basis
Pets: 1 dog (rarely at home)
Children: Yes, a 2 y.o.; no childcare required
Location: Crowborough, East Sussex (countryside, driving licence recommended)
Start Date: ASAP
Duties will include:
- General housekeeping (vacuuming, ironing, tidying).
- School pick-up (children collected at 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM).
- Supervising and engaging with the children until parents return.
- Light gardening and maintaining outdoor areas (tidying, putting away toys/furniture).
- Dog walking once or twice a week.
- Tidying children’s rooms and assisting with additional cleaning or organising.
- Final household tasks at the end of the week to prepare the home for the weekend.
Minimal Requirements:
- 3+ years of private Nanny / Housekeeper experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- English speaking
- DBS Check
- UK working permit
- Driving licence; own car preferred (manual car available if necessary)
