A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated private Housekeeper to join the household of a discerning international principal, newly resident in the United Kingdom and based in the stunning North Devon countryside. The property is situated in Hartland — one of Devon's most beautifully unspoilt and sought-after rural areas, nestled within the breathtaking North Devon coast. The household consists of a small family of three adults and one small dog. The principal is an internationally based professional with a busy lifestyle, and is looking for a trustworthy, self-motivated, and reliable Housekeeper who can take genuine ownership of the home and ensure it runs smoothly, immaculately, and harmoniously at all times — both during and between periods of residence.

As this property is situated in a rural Devon location, a driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential requirements for all applicants. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable commuting to and from the property independently, and willing to travel to London on an occasional basis when the principal is in residence there.

The Duties:
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and household presentation throughout the property, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms, and communal areas
- Carrying out thorough daily and deep-cleaning routines using appropriate products and techniques throughout
- Managing all household laundry, including washing, ironing, and the careful handling of fine garments and household linens
- Ensuring the household is fully organised, well-stocked, and running smoothly both during and between the principal's periods of residence
- Managing household supplies, grocery shopping, and general household errands as required
- Providing attentive and loving care for the household's small dog, including feeding, walking, and general day-to-day pet care
- Preparing and maintaining the property to an immaculate standard ahead of the principal's arrivals
- Liaising professionally and proactively with the principal and household contacts, following all household guidelines and preferences
- Occasional travel to London to support the principal during periods of London residence
- Driving licence and personal vehicle required for local errands, supply runs, and general mobility within the rural location
Minimal Requirements:
- Three or more years of private Housekeeper experience
- Two excellent, checkable references from previous private household employers
- Conversational and written English
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
- Driving licence and access to a personal vehicle — essential for this rural location
