The household comprises two adult principals and their two children aged 7 and 12, and is run in a friendly, organised, and structured manner. The property is a spacious five-bedroom house with an attached office, requiring a diligent and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and values long-term commitment within a family environment.
This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position based in Nantwich, a charming market town known for its historic character and peaceful surroundings. The schedule is set across two working days per week, Monday and Thursday, allowing for a manageable and well-distributed workload. This role is well-suited to a Housekeeper seeking consistent part-time hours within a structured household where expectations are clear and routines are established.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency across the home. Duties include general cleaning, laundry and ironing, and occasional simple cooking, such as preparing a fresh meal for the children whenever the work load allows it. The role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently while ensuring all areas of the home are maintained consistently to a good standard. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout a five-bedroom home including kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas
- Carrying out regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing
- Managing laundry and ironing, including bed linen and family clothing
- Ensuring consistency in cleaning routines and overall household organisation
- Preparing occasional simple, fresh meals for the children
- Supporting general household upkeep and maintaining a tidy, well-organised environment
- Applying appropriate care when cleaning delicate surfaces, including marble
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
