Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a welcoming private household currently based in Wilmslow and relocating to a beautifully renovated home in Over Alderley (SK10 4RU) later this year. The household comprises two busy professional principals, with their two teenage boys staying on a part-time basis. The family are seeking a Housekeeper who takes genuine pride in their work, uses initiative without requiring supervision, and enjoys creating a calm, organised, and well-maintained home environment. This is a rare opportunity to become involved before the family move into their newly renovated property, helping establish household systems and organisation from the very beginning.
Due to the rural setting, an own car and driving licence are essential.
Working as a Housekeeper within this household offers the opportunity to become a trusted long-term member of the family's support network. The successful Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the home while helping the principals manage the practical day-to-day running of their household. The family are looking for someone who is comfortable around children, highly organised, initiative-driven, and capable of identifying tasks without direction. Duties will include housekeeping in a 3 bedroom house, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, household shopping, running errands, monitoring household supplies, and occasional light meal preparation or assistance. The role will initially be based at the family's current home in Wilmslow before transitioning to their newly renovated residence in Over Alderley.
This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position offering excellent flexibility and long-term stability. The schedule is structured across three working days per week, with approximately 15–20 working hours. The family are seeking a Housekeeper who enjoys taking ownership of their role, pays close attention to detail, and is motivated by maintaining a home to an exceptional standard. This position would particularly suit a professional Housekeeper who values longevity and would enjoy helping a family settle into a new home while creating efficient systems and organisation from the outset.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all household areas to a consistently high standard
- Scheduled deep cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and communal spaces
- Laundry management including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and putting clothing away
- Wardrobe organisation and ongoing clothing management within the new home
- Changing and rotating bed linen and towels
- Organising cupboards, storage areas, utility rooms, and household spaces
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen appliances including refrigerators and storage areas
- Monitoring household supplies and maintaining stock levels of essential items
- Purchasing household essentials and completing occasional shopping duties
- Running household errands as required
- Assisting with household organisation before, during, and after the family's move into the new property
- Maintaining a calm, tidy, and well-organised household environment
- Occasional preparation of simple family-style meals when required
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household through initiative and proactive working practices
- Working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining exceptional standards throughout the home
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Own car is essential
