Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff are pleased to be assisting a friendly and welcoming family based in Holmes Chapel in their search for a professional, long-term Housekeeper. The family is settling into their newly constructed residence and would like to appoint a housekeeper who is organised, proactive, and confident caring for a modern, high-standard home.
This is a permanent live-out role suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, has excellent housekeeping standards, and is keen to integrate into a busy but respectful household. The family is comprised of two parents, three children aged 16, 10 and 6 (with the eldest attending boarding school), and a small and gentle Italian breed dog. The atmosphere at home is informal, supportive, and family-focused.
The property is a spacious new-build home spread across two floors, featuring en-suite bedrooms, a dressing room, an open-plan kitchen/living area, five bathrooms, and well-planned utility spaces. The housekeeper will be shown all routines and systems to help them settle in confidently.

Job Details:
Position: Permanent, Full-Time, Live-Out
Location: Holmes Chapel, Cheshire
Working Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: November 2025
Salary: £18 NET per hour (official employment)
Children: 3 (ages 16*, 10 and 6) — *eldest at boarding school
Pets: One small friendly dog
Driving Licence: Required

Duties & Responsibilities of the Housekeeper Position
- Maintain the home to a consistently high standard across all rooms and living spaces
- Daily cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and surface care
- Complete laundry management, including ironing and careful wardrobe organisation
- Prepare simple family meals or children’s meals after school when required
- Keep the kitchen, utility room, pantry, and storage areas well-organised and stocked
- Assist with household errands and occasional shopping
- Accept deliveries and oversee basic household supplies replenishment
- Provide a supportive presence within the family home (no sole-charge childcare)
- Light pet care such as feeding, letting out, and occasional walks
Candidate Requirements
- Strong references that can be verified
- Discreet, reliable, and child-friendly
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Fluent English
- Valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full driving licence essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a private household
