Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is seeking an experienced and well-organised housekeeper for a high-standard four-floor family home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. The property comprises six bedrooms and six bathrooms. This is a live-out, permanent, part-time position for a self-employed professional, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The household consists of two adults and three children aged 14, 12, and 7, with the mother usually present, therefore childcare is very occasional.
The role involves maintaining the home to an excellent standard, carrying out all classical housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, bed changing, and general upkeep. Responsibilities also include managing wardrobes, organising clothing and seasonal rotation, maintaining household supplies, managing stock control, and ensuring the kitchen and household waste areas are kept clean and orderly.
The housekeeper will coordinate the work of three cleaners and liaise with the gardener, ensuring smooth daily operations. With this support, the workload is manageable and focused on quality, organisation, and attention to detail. Additional duties include managing deliveries, dealing with tradesmen, light plant care, minor household maintenance, and general household oversight.
Running errands locally using a personal car is required and may include shopping and dry cleaning. Occasional preparation of simple, nutritious meals is considered a bonus. The ideal candidate is proactive, discreet, hygiene-conscious, and able to plan and prioritise tasks while adapting to the household’s routines.
A good command of English, excellent organisational skills, a valid DBS certificate, a full UK driving licence, and access to a personal vehicle are essential. The position offers £18–20 per hour gross, with annual holiday provided by the family (unpaid due to self-employed status). There are no pets and no travel required. Live out Housekeeper duties may include:

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of Housekeeper experience
- Fluent in English
